Collectively, the research constellation aims to develop and apply new technologies to improve basic understanding of the molecular processes associated with Sepsis and disease causing pathogens. The constellation aims to construct biobanks and perform translational clinical investigations and multicenter clinical studies to improve prevention, diagnostics and treatment strategies for Sepsis. It is urgent that we address these problems by working in multi-faceted translational constellations that re-focus research resources and re-purpose medical advances in other medical fields.
